Jackies mom notes

 Jackie's mother believed her only power in the world was in lying down and being done to.  

When Jackie's father left and the rent needed paying it had been the only way to keep a roof over their heads.  And when the landlords friends caught word the door got more knocks. a box full of money by the bed for food and clothes was usually full.  But Jackie's mom took to the drink to bear the hurt of it all and disappeared in spirit.

She was stuck in a hell she had consented to. or had she?
